Meet Sarah
I’m both a Finance Professional and a Social Entrepreneur. I have over 10 years experience in industry, two building and then selling my own social enterprise and I am a fully qualified as a management accountant (CIMA). Therefore, I’ve seen the impact that quality, simply presented finance data can have on the activities and success of a business.
I know that small businesses need an affordable, scalable financial model to validate their assumptions as they get off the ground so that’s what I aim to provide, all in a friendly and approachable way.
I’ve done lots of work in a freelance capacity with small businesses but am now taking my finance coaching to the next level as my full time work. See below for some of my previous clients.
Having lived in Cambridge for the last eight years, I’m moving to the North West of England in the coming months and am keen to get to know local businesses as I grow my own!

Previous Clients
Cambridge University Judge Business School
I have acted as a finance trainer for a number of start-up and scale-up programmes run by the Judge Business School within the University of Cambridge. These have been both in-person and virtual, working with entrepreneurs from around the world.
Bios Health Ltd
I worked with BIOS to model the cashflow and investment requirements of some of their early pre-clinical trials, informing their strategic approach to growth.
Sharebee
When Sharebee were setting up, I worked with the founder Sam to build a detailed financial business model so he could test out pricing and funding models for this innovative sharing-economy platform.
Turtle Dove
More than a client to me, I worked with Turtle Dove as their Finance Director for several years, including through the pandemic, when their finances and staffing were under significant pressure. This work was really wide-ranging; everything from operational tools (excel trackers for the day-to-day), to the 5-year business plan and financial plans for specific funding bids. I still work with the team on excel training.
Allia
I worked with the wonderful team at Allia to run a “Fundamentals of Finance” training for several cohorts of their startup programmes. This was a 3 hour training, followed by one-to-one support for their entrepreneurs.
